2022 Theater Camp

The fun and excitement of Summer Theatre Camp at the Carver returns as a fully in-person experience from Monday, June 6 through Friday, June 24, 2022 for actors and technical crew, ages 10-18. 

This year's production will be an original play written by camp director, CT Rhames titled, Against All Odds!: A Musical Review. This original work is a journey of belief, hope and courage as it follows five youth from different walks of life as they overcome the odds and obstacles they refuse to allow to define them or determine their futures. 

Actors will receive daily instruction in choreography, voice and acting from professional artists, while the technical theatre students will work alongside professional technicians to learn production, sound, lighting, props, costuming and more! 

The camp will culminate in a performance before a live audience of family and friends on Friday, June 24 at 7:00 pm in the Jo Long Theatre. 

AGES

• 10-18
• All participants must be at least age 10, on or before Monday, June 6, 2022, without exception

DATES/TIMES

• June 6-24, 2022 
• Monday-Friday from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
• Camp begins at 8:30 am daily. Early drop-off is available after 7:45 am.
• All campers must be picked up no later than 4:30 PM daily.
  

ENROLLMENT

• Enrollment begins 8:00 am, April 6, 2022.
• Enrollment closes May 31, 2022, or when all available spaces (Actors, 35; Technical Crew, 5) are filled.
• Payment (in full or minimum deposit) required to complete enrollment.
• Wait-listing activates when camp enrollments are full, but offers no guarantee of enrollment.

ENROLLMENT FEE

• Regular Rate, $260 (includes $65 non-refundable deposit)
• ARTicipate Rate $50 (Financial Assistance - one time, nonrefundable payment)

ARTicipate FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR ELIGIBLE HOUSEHOLDS

• Completed ARTicipate application and supporting documents required to receive financial assistance.
• Enrollments selecting the ARTicipate Rate but that do not provide supporting documents will be converted to Regular Rate.

Installment Payment Plan

• Enrollment period, 4/8/22 - 6/4/22 
• All enrollments after 6/4/22 require payment in full at time of registration
• Requires credit/debit card
• Regular Rate: $65 non-refundable deposit due at enrollment, followed by three (3) future automatic draft payments of $65
• All outstanding balances must be paid in full on or before June 4, 2022

ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL OBLIGATION CONSIDERATIONS

The following required items are not covered by camp enrollment fees, and may incur additional financial responsibility to households:

• Plain black t-shirt or top
• Black jeans, trackers, leggings or leotards
• Black jazz shoes (required for actors only; must be brought to camp each day of camp, including first day)
• Daily non-microwaveable lunch and snack
