ARTicipate! Financial Assistance Program

ARTicipate! offers financial assistance to qualifying households and individuals to make participation in The Carver Center's arts education programs a possibility for those experiencing economic hardships.

 

Art Lab Session (Fall 2023)

  • Each six-week course is only $10 for qualifying households and individuals
  •  Limit two courses per individual student
  • Completed form and proof of eligibility required

Eligibility

An individual adult student or a minor’s parent/guardian/household must meet the following eligibility conditions to qualify for the reduced ARTicipate rate.

 

Eligibility

An individual adult student or a minor’s parent/guardian must meet the following conditions to qualify for assistance.

 

Qualifying Programs. Must provide proof of current eligibility in one of the following programs:

 

  • CHiP
    • HUD Public Housing (Section 8 project-based, Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher, Section 202 housingfor the elderly, and Section 811 housing for persons with disabilities program)
      • SNAP
        • SSI, SSDI
        • Texas Veterans Commission Non-Service-Connected Pension
        • TWC Unemployment Benefits
        • Utility programs (CPS Energy’s REAP, SAWS Project Agua)

           

          Income-Based Eligibility. Must provide proof that total household income is 150% or less than the federalpoverty guidelines (see chart below). Required documents include:

           

      • one copy of most recent federal tax filing, or
        • copies of three most recent pay stubs
